PETALING JAYA: The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) are taking no chances with the health and wellbeing of the national shuttlers and coaches at the training centre.

The national body, in a statement on Sunday (March 15), said the team’s training will be halted to pave way for cleaning and sanitisation works at the Academy Badminton Malaysia (ABM) in Bukit Kiara in the wake of the escalating Covid-19 outbreak.

“This precautionary measure is in line with recommendations by the Ministry of Health, National Sports Council (NSC) and National Sports Institute (NSI) to combat the Covid-19 outbreak,” it said.

Training sessions are expected to resume on Thursday (March 19).
